Continuing Education

The AOC maintains a list of Pre-Approved Continuing Education Activities and the Distance Education Program offers online court interpreter Training Courses. Below is a summary of the Continuing Education Policy, for additional information please refer to the State Court Administrator Guidelines:

  • 26 CE credits in 3 years
  • 3 CE credits required in ethics
  • Minimum of 6 CE credits per year, no more than 12 CE per year
  • Maximum of 8 CE credits in non-interpreter/non-legal areas
  • Limit 7 CE credits per day
  • Up to 5 CE credits per teaching activity (no more than 10 CE credits per year)
  • Alternative Study valid for no more than 13 CE credits
