Why Mediate with JDMP?
JDMP mediation is for experienced professionals who want to use their skills to help families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
As a JDMP mediator, you will:
- Facilitate child-focused conversations in dependency cases
- Help families communicate, explore options, and reach agreements
- Support trauma informed, collaborative problem solving
- Witness moments where conflict turns into cooperation and progress
This role is especially well suited for individuals who are empathetic and comfortable navigating high-emotion conversations.
Flexible Work with Competitive Compensation
JDMP is designed to work alongside full-time employment or retirement.
- Mediators are paid independent contractors through the Supreme Court of Nevada
- Base compensation is 700 dollars per mediation
- The average time commitment is approximately five hours per case
- There is no minimum monthly or annual caseload
- Mediators choose how many cases they accept
JDMP currently has a particular need for mediators in Washoe County and in rural Nevada, including Nye and Esmeralda Counties. Mediations may be conducted virtually or in person depending on the judicial district.
