Dependency Community,

The Court Improvement Program (CIP) is requesting your participation in judicial and legal partner interviews with the Children's Bureau. This is a critical component of the ongoing Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) process and will play a huge role in Nevada meeting federal expectations.

You will be asked to spend about an hour having a conversation regarding Nevada's dependency court processes. This will help contextualize the State self-assessment recently carried out by the child welfare agency. These interviews are not to evaluate your work, but rather to ensure judicial and legal CFSR items were properly captured by the agency.

Interviews will be held virtually to limit the impact it has on your other responsibilities. The Children's Bureau has adopted a group interview model so please expect to be joined by peers who practice in a similar discipline from around the State. Interviews are set to be held November 3-7. Please see the schedule below listed by discipline.

  • Parent Attorneys: Monday, November 3,  12:00 - 1:15 p.m.
  • Youth Attorneys: Tuesday, November 4, 12:00 - 1:5 p.m.
