Judge Soderquist
Judge Randall Soderquist began his court career in 2010 as the Court Administrator for the West Wendover Municipal Court and Eastline Justice Court. He served in that capacity until 2015, when he was appointed as the Court Administrator for the Elko Justice Court and the Elko Municipal Court. Judge Soderquist served two consecutive terms as president of the Nevada Association of Court Executives beginning in 2016, and he became a Certified Court Executive through the National Center for State Courts’ Institute for Court Management in 2019. On January 4, 2021, he was appointed by the Elko County Board of Commissioners to fill a vacancy on the Elko Justice Court bench following Judge Mason Simons’ election to the Fourth Judicial District Court; he was subsequently appointed by the Elko City Council to serve concurrently as Municipal Judge for the City of Elko. Judge Soderquist ran unopposed in 2022 for the remaining two years of the unexpired term to which he was appointed, and he ran unopposed in 2024 for a full six-year term.
