Judge Klapper

Judge Jennifer Klapper began her career with Tonopah Justice Court in 1998 as a part-time clerk, advancing to court administrator prior to being elected to the bench.  She has served as Justice of the Peace since 2013 and was appointed Juvenile Hearing Officer by the 5th Judicial District Court in 2014.

Currently, Judge Klapper is a member of several professional organizations, including NJLJ, NCJFCJ and AJA.  She serves on the AJA Board of Governors and is the AJF President; she is president elect of the NJLJ and serves on various committees.  She was invited by NCJFCJ to attend the 2023 and 2025 Days on the Hill in Washington D.C., representing the State of Nevada.  There, she met with members of congress to share the importance of well-trained judges and discussed ways Congress can help improve the lives of children in the juvenile justice system.

Judge Klapper is passionate in her belief that everyone can do better, that a person’s past history doesn’t have to define them.  She is supportive of her local, court-related non-profit organizations and family services/organizations and couldn’t be more proud of her community and all it has to offer.
