Vexatious Litigant List

The Nevada Administrative Office of the Courts maintains a statewide list of individuals who have been declared vexatious litigants by a Nevada court.

A person is added to the list after a court enters an order declaring the person a vexatious litigant. Restrictions or requirements imposed on an individual are determined by the court and are described in the applicable court order.

About the List

Under Nevada Supreme Court Rule 9.5, Nevada courts are required to provide the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) with a copy of an order declaring an individual a vexatious litigant.

Courts must also notify the AOC when subsequent court action changes that individual's status.

The list is provided as a public reference and may not include every person who has been declared a vexatious litigant in Nevada. The list generally contains known orders dating from 2008 to the present.

Find the Court Order

For matters originating in the Nevada Supreme Court or Court of Appeals, case information and available documents may be accessed through the Nevada Appellate Courts Case Lookup.

For district, justice, or municipal court matters, contact or search the records of the court identified in the list.

The Administrative Office of the Courts does not determine whether an individual is a vexatious litigant and cannot independently remove an individual from the list.

If you have been declared a vexatious litigant and believe your status should be changed, you must seek relief from the court that issued the order declaring you a vexatious litigant.

If the court enters a subsequent order that changes your vexatious-litigant status, the court must provide the Administrative Office of the Courts with a record of that action. The statewide Vexatious Litigant List will then be updated to reflect the court's action.

Information for Nevada Courts

When a Nevada court declares an individual to be a vexatious litigant, a copy of the order must be provided to the Administrative Office of the Courts.

If the court later enters an order affecting that individual's vexatious litigant status, a copy of the subsequent order must also be provided to the AOC.
