The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 award period for the Court Improvement Program’s Addressing backlogs in Timely Permanency and Termination of Parental Rights Cases & Enhancing Preventive Services for At Risk Children and Families efforts. Please carefully review the following instructions for submitting your application:
1. Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by March 26, 2026, at 5:00 pm PST. Please send your application to Tracy Worrell, AOC Procurement and Grant Officer, at grants@nvcourts.nv.gov.
2. Expected Award Amount: Awards funding levels will be determined by the specific needs and size of each project. Awards will range from $5,000 to $20,000 depending on the project breadth and available funds. All funds must be fully expended by September 30, 2026.

Application Narrative Section B: Needs Statement: Please provide an overview of your jurisdiction's existing backlog related to Termination of Parental Rights (TPR) cases and the need to improve timely permanency and/or preventive services for at-risk children and families (e.g., pre-petition legal support, food and housing resources, medical and mental health support). Include specific information such as the total number of pending cases and the duration they have remained unresolved.
Application Narrative Section B: Budget Information: As an integral component of this application, it is required that Community Improvement Councils (CICs) collaborate and strategize on how the designated funds could be optimally utilized to advance the objective of improving timely permanency and/or providing preventive services for at-risk children and families within your jurisdiction. Please state the exact funding amount you are requesting, elaborate on your collaborative efforts within your jurisdiction, and provide a comprehensive breakdown of how these funds will be strategically allocated. Clearly outline how this budget will effectively enhance case flow, contribute to expediting the achievement of timely permanency outcomes, and/or support the preventive services for at-risk children and families
Application Narrative Section B: Project Timeline/Project Plan: Present a comprehensive projected timeline and detailed project plan that highlights the strategic utilization of the funds. Outline the sequential steps, milestones, and activities that will be undertaken to accomplish the grant's objectives and contribute to the desired outcomes.

Please specify how your organization intends to furnish the following data and information (where applicable) upon the culmination of the grant period:
1. Demographics: Include information on child's race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation and date of birth.
2. TPR Petitions: Provide the number of TPR petitions submitted.
3. Finalized Adoptions: Report the count of adoptions that have been successfully concluded.
4. Relinquishment Requests: Outline the number of relinquishment requests received.
5. Case Closure and Permanency Outcomes: Enumerate the various types of case closures and distinctly detail the different outcomes achieved in terms of permanency.
6. Resource Procurement Details: Provide comprehensive and detailed information regarding the acquisition of resources dedicated to advancing timely permanency and/or preventative services. It's important to note that these funds are also applicable to the procurement of resources aimed at benefiting dual system-involved youth.
