This November, court staff statewide have a chance to learn and improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of jury operations. Join the National Center for State Courts for a 1.5-day workshop that will provide practical tools and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of jury processes.

What: Jury System Management Workshops: Fair and Effective Practices in the Jury System Management

When: November 18-19 in Las Vegas, NV and November 20-21 in Reno, NV

Who: All court staff in Nevada

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to identify strengths and weaknesses within their jury operations, estimate the fiscal impact of potential improvements, and implement best practices that ensure the selection process remains fair and respectful to jurors. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped to develop effective policies and utilize performance measures to enhance their court’s jury operations.

Key benefits of the workshop include:

  • Strategies for improving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in jury management.
  • Tools to ensure the integrity of the jury selection process.
  • Techniques for treating jurors with the dignity and respect they deserve.

While the workshop costs are covered by the Nevada Administrative Office of the Courts, attendees are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements. For registration information or any questions regarding the workshop, please contact James Popovich at jpopovich@nvcourts.nv.gov.
