Director and State Court Administrator, Katherine Stocks has been appointed to the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) Eviction Diversion Initiative (EDI) program's Advisory Council. The council consists of state court leaders from across the United States including Chief Justices and Court Administrators. Ms. Stocks stated, “I am honored to be included with such an esteemed group of court leaders. The work of the Council will directly improve the delivery of access to justice in Nevada for years to come.”

NCSC's EDI grant program offers an opportunity for courts to learn from and improve upon pandemic-era best practices and to create permanent changes to their high-volume, high-impact eviction dockets. Participating jurisdictions will receive funding to hire dedicated court staff along with technical assistance and support to transform their eviction courts into problem-solving courts. Those courts will improve access to justice through an emphasis on holistic, sustainable, and community-driven resolutions to housing problems.
