These are consolidated appeals arising from a third-party complaint alleging breach-of-contract claims and seeking equitable indemnity.
ISSUES:
On appeal, this court considers whether the district court erred by concluding that (1) appellants violated NRS 107.078(3); (2) respondents proved special damages for their breach-of-contract claim; (3) respondents’ claims were timely under the discovery rule; and (4) respondents were entitled to equitable indemnity.

This is an appeal from a judgment after a jury verdict and order awarding attorney fees in a professional negligence matter. Respondents Vickie Center and her husband Thomas Center (collectively, the Centers) filed a medical malpractice action against appellants Dr. Barry Rives and Laparoscopic Surgery of Nevada, LLC (collectively, Dr. Rives). The jury found in favor of the Centers, awarding them in excess of $5 million in damages. The district court subsequently entered an order awarding the Centers attorney fees and costs in excess of $1 million.
ISSUES:
Dr. Rives appeals and argues that the district court erred by (1) limiting Dr. Rives’s trial testimony, (2) limiting trial testimony of three defense expert witnesses, (3) giving a jury instruction on legal cause instead of proximate cause, (4) denying his motion for a new trial, and (5) awarding attorney fees to the Centers.
