After being fired from a social media company, Parler, the company’s former CEO discussed the conditions of his firing on national news. In response, a media personality associated with Parler published a video in which he countered the former CEO’s narrative and accused the former CEO of lying. In response, the former CEO filed claims of defamation and conspiracy to defame against the media personality and other individuals and entities associated with Parler. All defendants filed anti-SLAPP motions to dismiss, which the district court denied. Defendants now appeal this denial of the anti-SLAPP motions to dismiss .
