Eateries

A list of restaurants in Harrah's/Harveys is located in the event program. However, if you would like to explore the area, Judge Glasson has put together a list of local restaurants for you to consider. All but the

Red Hut are within walking distance. Reservations are suggested.

Breakfast:

The Red Hut: A short Uber trip 1/4 mile uphill from my courthouse on SR 207, The Kingsbury Grade. The     original Red Hut is down highway 50 about 4 miles, and there is a 3rd location at Highway 50 and Ski Run   Blvd.https://tahoesouth.com/restaurants/red-hut-cafe/

Breakfast and Lunch:

The Driftwood Café: Locals' favorite. They used to run it out of a motel, the motel got flattened in     redevelopment, the Cafe moved to the tourist center. Just a couple of blocks into California. http://www.driftwoodtahoe.com/

Lunch/Dinner:

Brooks’ Bar & Deck at Edgewood Golf Course: Casual, low key, walk down to the beach on the other side of   the 18th hole https://edgewoodtahoe.com/menu/brooks-bar-and-deck/

McP’s Taphouse & Grill: Katty-korner from Harrah’s, just steps across the CA/NV border. They usually have a   band, toss them a couple of bucks and say, "Hey Ringo! Play something hot! And the rest of you guys, take   some lessons!" https://www.mcpstahoe.net/

Taco-Taqueria: Next to the 7-11 where Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail meet. They have changed the name,

but not the signs. Zero ambiance. Maybe less than zero. Great Gringas, Tacos and Tortas. Cheap. Delicious.     One of my clerk's father owns the joint http://tacotaqueria.com/

The Lucky Beaver: It's between Harrah's and Dotties. Grilled stuff, burgers, and the like. Can get noisy, but   nowhere near as noisy as Aleworx next door. My complaint? The beer is too cold. Seriously. https://luckybeaver.com/

Basecamp Pizza: I'm not a fan, but everybody else likes it (I prefer Judge Tiras' home-made pies)   https://basecamppizzaco.com/

South of North Brewing Company: You won't see any tourists here -- they can't find it. Firepits. Music. "Hey, Ringo!" Local beer: https://www.southofnorthbeer.com/
