CJE/CLE) Judge Carla Baldwin, District of Nevada Unlike other substance abuse presentations, this presentation is provided from the prospective of what to do both ethically and personally if you are effected by the substance use of a loved one or colleague. Using a series of interactive scenarios, the presentation explores a series of ethical issues encountered by lawyers who work with or practice against a colleague who may suffer from a substance use disorder. Finally, the presentation provides insights and thoughts on the effect of someone else’s substance use disorder on their loved ones, friends and colleagues and offers practical thoughts on how take care of yourself when you are caring for a loved one in that situation from someone who has been intimately effected by these issues over a lifetime. | Sand Harbor II & III |
