Judge E. Alan Tiras is justice of the peace of the Incline Village-Crystal Bay Justice Court.  He was elected to the bench in 2006 after being judge pro tem since 1994.  Prior to his election, Judge Tiras had been in private practice since 1991.  He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in 1982 and his J.D. and Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston in 1990.  A former professor of business law at Sierra Nevada College, Judge Tiras is currently past president of the Nevada Judges of Limited Jurisdiction and has served on the association's Board of Directors since 2008.
