Participants will explore how to issue effective and enforceable protection orders that promote victim safety while protecting the rights of adverse parties. 1. Identify the different types of Temporary Protection Orders and understand where and how petitions are filed. 2. Examine the legal and procedural considerations involved in issuing, modifying, extending, and expiring TPOs. 3. Develop strategies for creating protection orders that maximize victim safety while protecting the constitutional and procedural rights of all parties involved. | |
