Judge Natalie Tyrrell

Judge Natalie Tyrrell has served as Justice of the Peace in North Las Vegas since January 2001. She was re-elected to serve a fourth term until January 2025. She has also served four terms as Chief Judge of the North Las Vegas Justice Court. Judge Tyrrell received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. She received her B.A, from Mankato State University where she served as student body president. She is the first woman judge in North Las Vegas. In 2002, Judge Tyrrell partnered with C.P. Squires Elementary School to create Kids in the Court, an outreach program that educates thousands of fifth graders about the court system with an emphasis on careers in the court and the importance of staying in school. In 2018, Judge Tyrrell was honored by the American Judges Association for the Kids in the Court program. She received the Judge Elliott Zide Education Award. Currently, Judge Tyrrell serves as President of the Nevada Judges of Limited Jurisdiction and as the Vice President of the American Judges Association. Judge Tyrrell served three terms on the State of Nevada Judicial Council and served on a number of Supreme Court commissions. Judge Tyrrell is licensed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as a professional boxing judge.
