Winter NJLJ 2026
Dear NJLJ Friends,
I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming 2026 Limited Jurisdiction Judges Winter Seminar from January 27– 30, 2026.
The NJLJ Executive Board will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27th. The Education committee will meet at 10:00 a.m. The Legislative committee will meet at 11:00 a.m. If you are interested in participating with either committee, you are invited to attend. Please check the schedule for meeting room information.
Seminar classes start at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Training will be provided on: Evictions, Video Hearings, Judicial Ethics, Domestic Violence, Incorporating Treatment Court Principles into Traditional Courts, Judicial Demeanor, Self-Represented Litigants, Warrants, Evidence, Jury Management, Judicial Wellness, and more.
Our host judge, Jessica Goodey, will discuss a number of social opportunities with attendees on the first day of the conference.
The semi-annual NJLJ Business Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 29th, at 11:30 a.m. This meeting is for the general membership to discuss the business of the organization. We will also be holding annual elections for our NJLJ board! I've had a wonderful experience participating in various capacities with our association and would encourage you to get involved. Members who are unable to attend the business meeting in person may do so by Zoom. The link will be emailed out to judges in the coming weeks by Judge Dorothy Rowley, the NJLJ Secretary.
