Speaker Biography The Honorable Stephen J. Bishop
Judge Stephen J. Bishop was appointed as Justice of the Peace for Ely Justice Court in 2011. Prior to being appointed to the bench, he worked in the White Pine County District Attorney’s Office. Judge Bishop also clerked for Judges Berry, Peck, Flanagan and Adams at the Second Judicial District Court in Reno.
Judge Bishop graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno then attended law school at University of California, Davis. He earned a master’s degree at the National Judicial College, is a published photographer and a huge fan of Lego.
