Speaker Biography - The Honorable Jim Loveless

Union Township Justice Court

Judge Jim Loveless was born and raised in Southern California where he graduated from William S. Hart High School in Newhall, California. He enlisted with the U.S. Coast Guard and served for the next 20 years. He was stationed on the USCGC Polar Sea, leading him to places such as Antarctica and assignments on the east and west coasts.

In 1999, Judge Loveless retired from the Coast Guard and decided to continue his education at Western Nevada College, earning a Nevada Peace Officer’s Category 1 certificate. He served with the Pyramid Lake Tribal Police, the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office where he ultimately retired in 2016. After he retired from law enforcement, he earned his Nevada Private Investigator and Process Service licenses.

In 2019, Judge Loveless was elected as the Justice of the Peace for the Union Township, where he currently presides. After his term ends in 2024, he plans to enjoy retirement.
