Judge Regina McConnell
Regina was born and raised in Muncie, IN. The first of her family to graduate college, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University, and her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, IN.
During Law School, she was a published member of the Indiana & International Comparative Law Review. She interned for the Indiana Department of Public Access Counselor, and for CMG Worldwide, an Intellectual Property marketing firm. Throughout law school and in her career as an attorney, she spent many hours helping people in her community, with a focus on children, by being involved programs such as a teen court pre-trial diversion program called Reach for Youth, being a mentor and leader for junior high students and the Children’s Attorney Project.
On March 9, 2023, Governor Joe Lombardo appointed Regina as a District Court Judge to the Eighth Judicial District Court, Family Division. Prior to her appointment, Regina had been a practicing attorney since 2003 with a focus on family law exclusively since December 2007, when she started her own firm.
She is a frequent author and speaker at legal seminars educating other attorneys and she also co-authored a book called “The Soul of Success: Vol II” with Jack Canfield, which was published in late 2015.
Professionally, Regina is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada as well as the United States District Court of Nevada and her professional activities include membership in Phi Delta Phi, American Bar Association, the Nevada State Bar. In addition to her volunteer and professional commitments, Regina is a mother to three young children, a Senior Member of the United States Civil Air Patrol (Air Force Auxiliary), and volunteers frequently at her church.
