Eighth Judicial District Court

Judge Christy Craig presides over Department 32 of the Eighth Judicial District Court. Before taking the bench with the Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court, Judge Craig was a Chief Deputy Public Defender at the Clark County Public Defender’s Office for over 20 years. Prior to attending law school, Judge Craig also worked as a medical technician for over a decade. Judge Craig formerly served as a member of the Local Law Enforcement Advisory Committee and the Social Services Citizens Advisory Committee. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), in 1993, and a J.D. from the California Western School of Law in 1996.
