Seventh Judicial District Court

Judge Steve Dobrescu presides over the Seventh Judicial District, Dept. 1, which encompasses White Pine, Lincoln and Eureka counties.  He was appointed to the bench in 2001. Judge Dobrescu has been a member of the Judicial Council of the State of Nevada and the Specialty Court Funding and Policy Committee since 2007.  In 2005 he established the Adult Drug Court in White Pine and Lincoln County.   Prior to his appointment, Judge Dobrescu was a Deputy District Attorney for White Pine County from 1987 until 2001.  He was raised in Ely, Nevada and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and McGeorge School of Law, receiving his JD with Distinction in 1986.
