Covering the Appellate Courts
The Supreme Court of Nevada is the highest court in the Nevada judicial system. The main constitutional function of the Supreme Court is to review appeals from the decisions of the district courts. The Nevada Court of Appeals receives cases assigned by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Nevada's Appellate Courts do not pursue fact-finding by conducting trials, but rather determine whether legal errors were committed in the rendering of a lower court's decision. The appellate courts can affirm, modify, or set aside the decision on appeal. The appellate courts must consider all cases filed.
