Law Day Awards

The organizers of Law Day Live wished to create an event to allow students to better understand how the law affects them daily. The program was intended to provide educators in Nevada with a way to engage students in civics and social studies lessons focused on topics such as piracy of music, cyberbullying, the importance of voting, and equality.

In 2011 and 2012, the American Bar Association recognized the Nevada Supreme Court and its partners with the Outstanding Law Day Activity Award for excellence and service to the national movement of Law Day. These awards validated Nevada's efforts to provide an engaging educational experience.
