Social Events and Activities

Receptions: The opening reception on Tuesday, April, 26, will be held in Harrah's Convention Center Promenade. The reception on Wednesday, April 27, will be held in Harrah's Summit lounge.   

Banquet: The banquet on Thursday, April 28, will be held in Harrah's South Shore Room.  

Yoga & Yogurt!: Join experienced instructors as they lead practitioners of all levels in exploring the intimate connections between body, mind, and spirit. The practice of yoga is uniquely adaptable and the benefits are both immediate and enduring. If you have never experienced yoga, this will be a great introduction. Remember to bring your yoga mat. Yoga & Yogurt! will be held in the Glenbrook/Emerald Bay conference rooms on Wednesday, April 27, Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29. There is no registration fee to attend.  

Reflections Spa: Reflections Spa, located at Harrah's, integrates the finest health and beauty treatments from around the globe. Summit participants and guests enjoy a 20% discount off published 2016 Spa Menu prices between April 24 and 29.

Social Activities

Beautiful Lake Tahoe has so much to offer! Here are several activities that Summit Host Judge, Judge Richard Glasson, invites you to participate in on Thursday afternoon, April 28. Additional information and sign-up Sheets, if applicable, are located at the Summit registration desk. Please note: payment for social activities will be on your own at the time of the activity and not reimbursable by AOC. Additionally, all outdoor activities are weather permitting.

Softball: The game is on! The teams have been chosen. On Team 1, we have the Court of Appeals and Limited Jurisdiction Judges and on Team 2, we have the Supreme Court Justices and General Jurisdiction Judges. So pull out your glove and get ready for this friendly game of softball to be held at Kahle Park. Please sign-up at the Summit registration desk. Horseback Trail Ride: All trails lead to fun at the Zephyr Cove Resort Stables. What a great way to experience the area’s serenity and beauty as you saunter over forested scenic trails while enjoying vistas of the crystal clear blue lake and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. Fishing: For the die-hard anglers out here is an opportunity to embark on a journey to catch the tastiest fish from the depths of crystal clear Lake Tahoe. The lake is practically teeming with mackinaw, rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon. All you need to catch them is the help of an expert fishing guide who will lead you to the fishing hot spots on the lake.
