The many jurisdictional issues relating to Indian Country include: jurisdiction over private, civil lawsuits within Indian Country; enforcement of tribal court orders within the state's jurisdiction; VAWA and protection orders involving tribal parties, criminal jurisdiction; and questions regarding when tribes land can be considered part of the state (such as for marijuana sales).

Commissioner Richardson will discuss the Division of Insurance's licensee lookup tool (on its website) and address courts' concerns regarding bail licensees. The Commissioner guides the Division in looking for ways to better regulate bail licensees and will welcome input from judges.
