Starting July 1, 2019, the Nevada Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), will start taking grant applications for Uniform System of Judicial Records Grants (USJR) and Trial Court Improvement Grants (TCI) funding.
Last year, the Nevada Judiciary awarded $62,738 in grant funds to increase security at the Murphy-Bernardini Regional Juvenile Justice Center in Carson City, and to purchase and install a new audio/recording system for the Pershing County Courthouse in Lovelock.
The AOC Grant Program allows courts to seek grant funding of up to $50,000 from two distinct funding streams. The USJR funds are aimed at helping courts comply with the caseload statistical reporting requirements of the Nevada Judiciary. While, the TCI grants fund court order, statutory, or procedural requirements in the areas of technology, security, and court interpreters for Nevada trial courts.
