First Proceedings Planned For Las Vegas Courthouse

All Justices of the Nevada Supreme Court will hear oral arguments for the first time at 10 a.m. April 3, in the Las Vegas Courthouse, 408 E. Clark Ave.

The 72-seat courtroom features design styling reminiscent of the first U.S. Supreme Courtroom. Wood paneling, red velvet curtains, and red stadium chairs give the courtroom a distinctive appearance.
The En Banc Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the following cases:
- Johnson (Donte) vs. State (Death Penalty - Post-Conviction)
- Gordon vs. Geiger (Child Custody)
- Half Dental Franchise, LLC vs. Houchin
- In Re: Application of Huddle

At 2:30 p.m., April 4, the Nevada Supreme Court has scheduled a public hearing to consider proposed Supreme Court Rule 120 regarding costs in attorney disciplinary proceedings.
The rule change proposes the final assessment for costs and fees shall have the force and effect of a civil judgment against the disciplined attorney. Failure to pay shall result in administrative suspension.
