The Supreme Court Law Library provides free access to Westlaw. The Law Library's contract includes primary law for the U.S. and all 50 states, as well as forms and treatises, including:

  • AmJur2d
  • AmJur Proof of Facts & Trials library
  • AmJur Pleading and Practice Forms
  • Federal Practice and Procedure (aka Wright & Miller), and
  • Causes of Action

Westlaw's KeyCite [PDF] service is the equivalent of Lexis' Shepard's cite checking service.

Lexis

The Supreme Court Law Library provides free access to Lexis.com. The Law Library's contract includes the following:

  • Shepard's® legal citation validation service
  • Federal and all state primary law
  • U.S. legislative materials
  • Moore's Federal Practice
  • Nichols on Eminent Domain
  • Larson's on Workers Compensation

Nevada CD-ROM

The Official Nevada Law Library from the Source is published on CD-ROM by the Legislative Council Bureau. For information on this publication you can visit the website at http://www.leg.state.nv.us/publications/.

HeinOnline

The Law Library subscribes to HeinOnline, Hein's online research product with more than 90 million pages of legal history available in an online, fully-searchable, image-based format. For addtional information about this service, you can visit their website at http://heinonline.org, or at the reference desk.

The Law Library's HeinOnline subscription includes the Law Journal Library (over 1,700 law and law-related periodicals, available in PDF, coverage is from the first issue through in most cases the current published issue), the Code of Federal Regulations (from inception in 1938), the Federal Register Library (from inception in 1936), Legal Classics (more than 3,000 treatises), Nyberg and Boast's Subject Compilations of State Laws, the Treaties and Agreements Library (all U.S. treaties, whether currently in-force, expired, or not yet officially published), the U.S. Code (from inception in 1925-1926), U.S. Statutes at Large, U.S. Supreme Court Library (complete coverage of the official U.S. Reports bound volumes plus preliminary prints, and slip opinions).
