The Law Library is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Closed on state holidays and weekends.
Parking and Entering the Building
Please enter the Library via the Stewart Street entrance. Parking is available in the Legislature’s parking garage (corner of Stewart and East Fifth – entrance on Stewart) as well as in the parking lot (East side of Stewart between East Second and East Third streets) directly across the street from the Supreme Court building. Access to the Library is restricted to the Stewart Street entrance. If entering the building from Carson Street, take the elevator in the foyer to the second floor and use the elevator in the Rotunda to return to the ground floor to enter the Library.
The Library has three conference rooms available for reservation. Room 107 seats 22 people comfortably, Room 104/105 seats 12, and Room 103 seats 8. Rooms 107 and 104/105 have teleconference capabilities and Room 103 does not. The telephone number for Room 107 is (775) 684-1679 and for 104/105 is (775) 684-1678.
Copies and Faxes
Faxes are $1.00 per page, whether sent or received. Payment is due at time of service. Ask staff for the fax number.
Copies are $0.10 per page. The copy machine is located in Room 102. It is coin-operated and has a bill changer.
The Library has free Wi-Fi access. The network is NSCWAM. Patrons with CLAN library cards may log in using their barcode and CLAN password (usually the card holders 7-digit phone number). Non-CLAN patrons may request a guest login at the reference desk.
Is the Law Library open to the public?
Yes, the Law Library serves the courts, bar, and general public.
