May Westlaw CLE's

The law library will be offering two CLEs in May. One class will be Researching Nevada Law on Wednesday, May 24th from 9:00am – 10:00am in room 107.  The second class will be Ethics on Wednesday, May 24th from 10:15am – 11:15am, also in room 107. Both classes will also be available by webinar.  Call or email the law library (775-684-1640 or reference@nvcourts.nv.gov) to reserve your seat.  

If you would like to participate by webinar, please provide your bar number with your request so we can get you credit from the CLE board.

Researching Nevada Law

 9:00-10:00 am in Room 107

Learn how to search all things Nevada on Westlaw, including historical statutes, legislative history materials, and agency decisions.

Ethics

 10:15-11:15 am in Room 107

         You will learn various research strategies for searching primary and secondary legal materials, such as case law, court rules, statutes, law review articles, and treatises pertaining to legal ethics, and professional responsibility. We will also discuss basic computer-assisted legal research tasks, such as retrieving documents by citation, issue searching, digest searching, and verifying primary law using the KeyCite® citation research service, in the context of legal ethics and professional responsibility research issues.

Qualifies for 1 CLE credit for Nevada
